Team Freedom challenges Team Nu Vision to Battle Royale

It’s on.

The leadership of Team Freedom has challenged the leadership of Team Nu Vision to a contest to see which team can produce the most new Executive Directors by the Las Vegas Leadership Summit in September. When the dust settles, everyone in Pre-Paid Legal Services will know which team reigns supreme.

The idea for the challenge arose during the Oklahoma City Convention where Team Freedom beat Team Nu Vision in all but one  category. To mark the occasion, everyone who attended the Team Freedom Sunday breakout session marched into the Cox Arena where TNV was holding their breakout session. Our team proudly chanted, “Freedom! Freedom!” as we entered the arena and marched towards the front. The Ring-earners joined the TNV leadership on stage as the crowd cheered and laughed at our “invasion”. After the speeches and picture taking, Mark Smith and Darnell Self spoke.

“Team Freedom and Team Nu Vision are the best there is in Pre-Paid Legal,” Mark Smith said, “but now we know that Team Freedom is the best of the best,” referring to our organization’s dominance in rank advancement, attendance, and other categories. Mr. Self said the results were a fluke and wouldn’t be repeated and that’s when the challenge was born.

The rules of the contest are simple: the team with the most new Executive Directors wins. If you weren’t an ED at the start of 2009 and you qualify before the Las Vegas conference in September, it counts towards the total.

Team Nu Vision is serious about beating us and they have a lot of talent to go along with their determination. We can win but not without a lot of hard work.

There’s a lot at stake in this contest, much more than a prize or even our reputation. This is an unprecedented opportunity to capitalize on the state of our economy and help a lot of people who need what we have to offer, not to mention creating an incredibly prosperous future for our own families. The leadership of Team Freedom is committed to helping you do that and is asking you to do the following:

  1. If you are an Executive Director, make a list, “New EDs in 2009″ for your wall or on your computer. Add the names of anyone who has qualified in 2009 who was not qualified at the start of the year. Update that list as we move towards LV.

Take inventory. Call through your organization and ask, “Do you know about the ED challenge we’re having with TNV?” If not, inform them and ask if they want to “go for it”. If they want to accept the ED challenge, find out in what month they will qualify and do a game plan to help them “map out” their goal. Hold them accountable to the activity they will need to do.

Do a head count and send an email to your upline Executive Director and to Mr. Mark Smith (teamfreedom1@gmail.com) that says, “Nobody beats Team Freedom! My name is ___________. There are _______ new EDs in my organization in 2009; their names are [provide the names]. By the Las Vegas Leadership Conference, I will help a total of _________ Associates get to the ED level.”

  2. If you are not yet an ED but you are committed to qualifying, send the following email to your upline ED and to Mr. Smith: “Nobody beats Team Freedom! My name is ___________. I am committed to becoming an Executive Director in Pre-Paid Legal by or or before ____________ . I will ask my upline ED to help me map out what I need to do and I will be accountable to them for doing the activities needed to achieve my goal.”

If it’s true that competition makes you stronger, we can thank Mr. Brian Carruthers for throwing his Team Pinnacle’s hat in the ring. He says his team can beat Team Freedom and Team Nu Vision and while we doubt that, Mr. Carruthers has repeatedly proven that he  plays to win and is not someone to be ignored.

So how about it, Team Freedom, are we still the best of the best in Pre-Paid Legal Services?

Let’s prove it!
