Shera Forrester

Shera ForresterI was raised by an entrepreneur with a never quit attitude and the ability to dream big and see those dreams come true. He told me my entire life I could do, be and have anything I desire. I learned from my father the value of working for oneself and always knew I would do the same.

In late 2000, life happened and my journey with Pre-Paid Legal began. Previous to PPL, I was a biochemist/chemist working with a start-up company. After only 2 months, on the morning I signed a 12 month lease, for my dream apartment, the company went out of business! I was devastated, frustrated and scared. The idea of going back to Corporate America, to build someone else’s dream, where the same thing could easily happen again, made me realize I had to do something different to get something different.

‘…in order to earn more I had to become more. I was intelligent enough to be teachable and follow the proven success system.’

I was very fortunate, because a good friend invited me to a business briefing. He had been inviting me for two years; timing is everything and the fortune is in the follow-up! I am so thankful I attended that briefing!

I saw a tremendous opportunity to be involved in a mission that would allow me to do two things important to me: #1 help others and #2 be an independent business owner. One problem: You could say I had spent way too much time in the lab, I could relate to a test tube and not people. Fortunate for me, there was a system in place. Along with Personal Development and the understanding in order to earn more I had to become more, I was intelligent enough to be teachable and follow the proven success system.

Pre-Paid Legal has changed my life in many ways. I possess more life skills than ever before because I stepped outside my comfort zone and committed to a company in which I truly believe. By helping others, I have helped myself.

A year after I became involved with PPL, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, a digestive disorder that can be extremely debilitating, zapping one’s energy and, at times, forcing me to be housebound. Because of PPL, I have been able to generate a phenomenal income from home, while healing from the effects of UC. I would have been fired from a J.O.B!

Now, I am fortunate to work with, and am here because of a team of wonderful people. Much of my success is due to the unceasing support, guidance and love of my parents, Ron Forrester and Leslie Hocker. One of the most rewarding aspects of PPL is the friendships that are formed and the phenomenal mentorship that is available. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Stonecipher, Jeff Olson, LK Marketing Leadership, Jason & Nekoe Buckner, Emily Talbert-Holt, Kevin & Faith Peterson, Cory Chavis, Faye Speary, Jay Strickland, Gerard Charles, the Home Office Staff, especially the ED Line, and all the supportive leaders and ring-earners in the field.

I echo Olympic Athlete Michael Phelps sentiments when he said, “So many people along the way, whatever it is you aspire to do, will tell you it can’t be done. But all it takes is imagination. You dream. You plan. You reach. There will be obstacles. There will be doubters. There will be mistakes. But with hard work, with belief, with confidence and trust in yourself and those around you, there are no limits.”
